I tucked a number of snowdrop bulbs (Galanthus nivalis) in the bed in front of the house a couple of years ago. They were in flower this afternoon, much to my delight. They've survived excessive leaf mulch (my gardening companion LOVES leaves and mulch, and forgets about bulbs and perennials...) and are delightful to see today.I took a (very bad) photo last year on February 3, three weeks earlier than these are flowering.
