Another cold day with the sun appearing briefly between showers. Friday is my day to work all day at school with the Year 2 children. Not the most exciting of days probably because I'm a bit tired having woken up before 3.00 and listened to the election results on the radio for a couple of hours before catching an hour's sleep. First leaves emerging on one of the azaleas. It is only after looking carefully at the photo that I appreciated all the fine details. Hairs on the stems, the arrangement of the crumpled leaves and the delicate bronze edges.
4.30 this evening, looking towards Ashelford Corner. Everywhere the bright green of new leaves sparkles where once were only brown twigs holding on against the winter weather.
