Hey fellows, Today I'm gonna share with you this Mediterranean house design which is very popular or shall I say the most abused house design in the Philippines. Warning! Folks, I made this up. It's not one of our project. I just feel to design such a house like this to give you something to share. Before anything else, allow me to give you some insights about Mediterranean house.

The Mediterranean Revival architecture was an eclectic design style that was first introduced in the United States about the end of the nineteenth century, and became popular during the 1920s and 1930s. The style evolved from renewed interest in the Italian Renaissance architecture of palaces and seaside villas dating from the sixteenth century, and can be found mainly in the states California and Florida due to the popular association of these coastal regions with Mediterranean resorts.

Architects August Geiger and Addison Mizner did much to popularize this style in Florida; while Bertram Goodhue, Sumner Spaulding, and Paul Williams did likewise in California. Structures are typically multi-story and based on a rectangular floor plan, and feature massive, symmetrical primary façades. Mediterranean Revival is characterized generally by stuccoed wall surfaces, flat or low-pitched terra cotta and tile roofs, arches, scrolled or tile-capped parapet walls and articulated door surrounds. Feature detailing is occasionally executed with keystones.

Balconies and window grilles are common, and are generally made of wrought iron or wood. Ornamentation can be simple or dramatic, and may use various Mediterranean references. Classical, Spanish Renaissance, Spanish Colonial, and Beaux-Arts architecture details are often incorporated into the design, as are lush gardens.

The style was most commonly applied to hotels, apartment buildings, commercial structures, and even modest residences. Mediterranean Revival was one of several architectural styles used extensively by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe and Southern Pacific Railroad companies when designing their train stations in California.

Folks, You may wonder why I say that it is the most abuse house design in the Philippines because its everywhere. Almost every subdivision in the Philippines you can find this type of  dream house. It doesn't mean that I don't like it because I do like Mediterranean houses, I really do. Maybe it's because of the influence of the United States of America or the western countries which  Mediterranean houses is really very popular and it actually originate from there.

My dear friends, this might not be the very best Mediterranean house design or the best architectural design online or the best online interior design you can see in the world or in the Philippines but for someone, some where it might be the best dream house design they could ever imagine. Not to mentioned that I am doing my very best to be a part of building a truly beautiful nation. This is my share. Folks, Every house is a dream come true. Kitchen Design

Good morning fellows! Here's the latest dream house I design.

This interior design project we have here is one of our projects in the kingdom of Bahrain while I was still working there last 2007- 2009. Actually, this project is a two-storey villa which is the same project as what I already posted it a couple of days ago. I was assigned by our interior designer to give some interior design concept particularly in this kitchen area. Although this project was located in Bahrain but as you can see the designed that I come up with is not really a typical Arabic design. Not even a single elements is present in this online interior design. So, you can adapt this concept in the Philippines if you like it.

To be honest I am not really more of an interior designer because my background is more on architectural design but since our interior designer ask for a concept so I give her my best shot so far. Folks, allow me to share this interior design concepts online.

This might neither be the very best house design nor the best online interior design you can see in Bahrain or in the Philippines but if you will ask the owner, He will always tell you that they are now living their dream house. Modern House

Good morning fellows! Here's the latest dream house I design.

Modern architecture is a term applied to an overarching movement and period in architectural history during the 20th century, with its exact definition and scope varying widely. In one of the broader meanings, as will be used here, modern architecture began at the turn of the 20th century with efforts to reconcile the principles underlying architectural design with rapid technological advancement and the modernization of society. It would take the form of numerous movements, schools of design, and architectural styles, some in tension with one another, and often equally defying such classification.

The more narrow concept of modernism would be a central theme in these efforts. When compared to that which preceded it, modernism in architecture is broadly characterized by simplification of form and subtraction of ornament from the structure and theme of the building. Gaining popularity after the Second World War, architectural modernism was adopted by many influential architects and architectural educators, and continues as a dominant architectural philosophy for institutional and corporate buildings into the 21st century.

This Two-storey modern house was one of our project in the Kingdom of Bahrain while I was still working there last 2007- 2009. Although this two-storey modern villa (as what they called it in Bahrain) that I designed was located in Bahrain but still you can build this Two-storey modern house in the Philippines. Actually, this is just a design scheme submitted to our Head architect, because he is looking for some idea of a modern house. Here's another view of this modern house that I design.

Two-Storey House

Good morning fellows! Here's the latest dream house I design.
(The Sun of opportunity never sets, that is why it is always Good Morning!)

This Two-storey house was one of our project in the Kingdom of Bahrain while I was still working there last 2007- 2009. Although this two-storey villa (as what they called it in Bahrain) that I designed was located in Bahrain but still you can build this Two-storey house in the Philippines. Actually my first scheme of this Two-storey house was just all white paint in the exterior, no stone cladding and no wood cladding. There are a lot of people who love to have a white house. I am not talking about the white house of the United States. I am talking about the color of the house in the exterior; some expert called it a minimalist house, a modern house, and Zen house or what ever they might calls it.  Even myself I love to have one, but still I make some mixture of materials, because to be honest I really love to play mixing things around while I am designing. After all, it’s the choice of the owner or your choice to prevail.

Rough costs estimate = Php. 6,000,000.00

Lot Area= 19m x 20m (380 Sqm)

Ground Floor Area = 170 sqm. excluding Garage and entrance area.

Second floor area = 174 sqm.

Roof deck floor area = 174 sqm. (Open area)

House Features:

• 1-Master's bedroom with walk-in closet
• Two-Bedroom with individual toilet and bath.
• Family hall at the second floor with balcony
• Dining and Kitchen area
• Living hall
• Music room
• Maid's room with toilet and bath
• Laundry area
• Two-car garage
