Serene Bedroom

Ever since I can remember I've wanted a canopy bed. I think this would be the perfect way to surround it. Again, these colors just make me happy. That's precisely why I love color so much. -Shane Reilly

Jamie Drake Knows Color

Alkemie posted this fabulous East Hampton country home designed by Jamie Drake and I immediately fell in love with that gorgeous little nook. But I really like the turquoise accented with the yellow in the vibrant living room and dining room. Visit Alkemie for more beautiful images! -Drake Design Associates via Alkemie

Small and Seriously Cool

A family of four and a dog live in this small (but awesome!) 640 square foot home that is featured in Apartment Therapy's Small Cool contest. What a brilliant use of space (and Benjamin Moore's Tranquil Blue). I love it. -Apartment Therapy

Lovely Blue Grasscloth

This entry was designed by Molly Luetkemeyer. I love how she used the pretty pale blue grasscloth to soften the hall of this modern home. And what an interesting place for a fish bowl. -M. Design Interiors

Modern Apartment

This colorful apartment designed by L. Weatherbee is bright, modern and cozy. I love the turquoise and brown rug that provided the inspiration for the accent wall color in the entry and dining room. -L. Weatherbee Design Studio

A bright, restful home

This 1840's East Hampton, New York home was reinvented with a modern color palette, including Robin's Egg Blue walls in the bedroom and turquoise accessories in the living room.

"And what could be more restful than a wonderful robin’s-egg blue?" says Drake of the wall color of the master bedroom. It's a quiet whisper of the living room’s turquoise. -Point Click Home

Tranquil Bedroom

Layered patterns can feel calm rather than chaotic. Just choose simple repeats in soothing shades that share a background color (here, white) and harmonize with walls.

Urban Oasis

I wanted this apartment to feel both playful and soothing, and for everyone who enters to feel the same. Color energizes me, inspires me, and helps me create a space that's says "me".
